Prophetic Music Overview - What is Prophetic Music

As with other musical expressions, prophetic music can be either written or spontaneous. It can take on a wide variety of styles. The defining aspect of prophetic music is that it expresses prophecy. In order to define prophetic music, we must first define prophecy.

Prophecy proclaims the will of HaShem as inspired by Ruach Adonai. Prophetic music proclaims and/or expresses G-d's will under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. This can be done through song or instrumentally.
